Typehaus — Branding & Microsite for Typeface Foundry
Overview:
Typehaus is a boutique type foundry that needed a bold, expressive microsite to showcase its new variable fonts. I was responsible for the full creative direction — from branding to site design and development.
My Role:
Visual Designer
Brand Strategist
Framer Developer
Challenges:
Needed to create a design that let the type speak for itself
Performance was a concern due to large font files and media
Wanted a minimalist but playful interaction style
Process:
Developed a grid-based layout that emphasized white space and rhythm
Used Framer to build fluid, scroll-based animations tied to typographic changes
Designed a dark/light toggle that altered font behavior for accessibility
Collaborated with type designers to showcase full character sets in interactive demos
Outcome:
20% increase in font downloads in the first month
Featured in 3 typography blogs and design newsletters
Became a key piece in the studio’s branding toolkit
Tools Used:
Framer, Adobe Illustrator, FontLab, Figma, Notion
